We are seeking an experienced DBA to lead our database and ETL team and administer the Oracle database servers that support our product lines.
As a Database Team Lead at FRT, you will use your strong technical and leadership skills to lead our database and ETL team and administer the relational database that is the lifeblood of our business. In addition, you will:
Lead our Database/ETL team
- Maintain and share in-depth technical expertise vis-à-vis Oracle database products, industry trends, and best practices
- Serve as the voice of our database team in all departmental and enterprise projects
Comprehensively administer the Oracle database servers that support our product lines
- Responsible for installation, configuration, patching/upgrades, and administration in a production environment
- Monitor and resolve production issues to maintain overall health of database servers
- Oversee database backup strategies, replication, and disaster recovery plans
Get your hands dirty optimizing our databases
- Perform ongoing, comprehensive health checks on our system
- Identify and implement architectural changes to improve the systems’ overall stability, availability, security, and performance
- Make tuning and performance recommendations to optimize database functioning
Our ideal candidate is:
- An experienced (8+ years) Oracle database administrator, with at least some experience with Oracle 19c in a production environment.
- A hands-on leader, willing to get his/her hands dirty, with SQL coding experience
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, PostgreSQL (as an Azure managed service), ETL tools (e.g., Pentaho), PowerBI would very helpful
- Comfortable with Linux;
- Familiar with database security concepts and controls, including access control, encryption, and auditing;
- Self-directed and detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment with limited administrative support or hand holding;

Compensation: base salary is experience dependent and can range from $130,000-$190,000 a year (based in MA). FRT also offers an annual bonus.
